Club Policies

Dress Code

Proper tennis shoes (i.e., non-marking soles) must be worn on the court at all times. For your convenience, Court 16 is carrying both Lacoste and Babolat tennis shoes in the most popular sizes, which you can buy at the club. Please be sure to wear a comfortable workout attire. Please make sure to clearly label all of your child’s items (racquet, clothing, backpack, lunch box). Items should be easily identifiable in the event they are misplaced.

Pick Up Policy

Court 16 has a strict pick-up policy and requires all parents or caregivers to be on site within 10 minutes of class ending. Court 16 will only release the child to parents or authorized caregivers mentioned on the authorized pick-up and emergency contacts list.

Punctuality

Class readiness drop off time is 5-10 min prior to class. Promptness is important for the class to begin in a timely fashion and for all students to benefit fully; lateness is frowned upon as it affects the rest of the kids in class at a given time.

Proper Behavior

Parents, caregivers, players and guests must behave properly at all times. Any act of verbal or physical violence is likely to result in a series of sanctions, which may include exclusion from Court 16.

Zero Tolerance Policy Against Abusive Language

Court 16 is fully committed to a zero-tolerance policy against abusive language, racial slurs, homophobic speech, bullying speech and any form of hate speech. Such language is not only offensive but also harmful and goes against principles of respect, equality, and inclusion.

Scheduling

Rescheduling

A twenty-four (24) hour cancellation notice is required or Court 16 will charge the full session price. If you plan on missing class, please inform Court 16, at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a rescheduled class. Your child will be allowed to reschedule 3 sessions per season. Court 16 will work with you to reschedule the class. These classes have to be taken, within the season. Once a reschedule session is made, you are not allowed to change that rescheduled class again.

Private Sessions

Should you need to reschedule please do so 24hrs in advance - if this is not done it is considered a late cancel and will be charged. Private sessions are not made up. You will be charged if the club is not notified in a timely fashion. If you call in advance you may reschedule the session for another available date. This is allowed three times per season.

Semi-Private Sessions

The class begins in a timely fashion whether both parties are present or not. Should you need to reschedule please do so 24hrs in advance - if this is not done it is considered a late cancel and will be charged. Semi-Private sessions are not made up. If the session is being taught to one child it will be for 30min (for regular 45min sessions) or 45min (for regular 60min sessions). Whenever possible, please coordinate with the other party so that we may reschedule for both. This is allowed up to three times per season.

Tennis Shoes

We require that all members, guests and players wear real tennis shoes to diminish the risk of injury. Tennis shoes are designed to provide grip, cushioning and stability during complex dynamic movements on the court. The specificity of a tennis shoe’s outsole is that the recesses and solid areas are distributed to minimise pressures, providing better adhesion and lower wear adhesion respectively. Furthermore, we reserve the right not to allow a member or guest to access the playing area if that person is not wearing proper tennis or pickleball shoes. LEARN MORE
