For your convenience, Court 16 is now carrying both Lacoste and Babolat tennis shoes in the most popular kid sizes, which you can pick up at the club or order online.
Q: Can I pick my kid up late if I'm running behind?

What is Court 16's approach to teaching tennis?
At Court 16, we teach tennis by starting with the right foundation-building confidence every step of the way. Our coaching focuses on four key pillars: grip, body positioning, swing mechanics, and movement.
From the very first class, players learn that how they move matters just as much as how they swing. Getting to the ball on time, staying active between shots and points, and developing rhythm are essential to learning tennis and having fun while doing it.
We also bring the game to life through Tennis Remixed-using metaphors and drills inspired by other sports to make learning easier, more engaging, and more memorable.
How does Court 16 ensure consistent player development?
Every coach at Court 16 follows the same technical framework and progression model. Of course, each coach brings their own personality, style, and delivery, but we all work together to ensure every player receives the same level of care, attention, and approach. This creates a warm, consistent learning environment and helps players progress with clarity and confidence.
How does Court 16 adapt to different skill levels?
We use a progressive system that adapts court size, equipment, and ball type to a player's stage of development. The goal is not to move quickly through these formats, but to build deep muscle memory, consistent point of contact, and the right technique-the foundation for long-term growth.
This scaled progression mirrors best practices in many other sports like soccer, basketball, and winter sports, and helps players grow at a pace that promotes technical excellence, safer development, and injury prevention. Using lighter racquets and lower-pressure balls allows players to learn confidently while protecting their bodies.
How does Court 16 support players who attend weekly or seasonally?
Whether players train once a week or attend more frequently, we focus on building strong, repeatable habits through intentional instruction and consistent technique.
For players who participate in our holiday and summer camps, the experience becomes even more immersive. These extended programs allow players to strengthen their tennis foundation, build friendships, and develop the kinds of physical and mental skills that support the growth of a well-rounded athlete and person.
What is Court 16's long-term goal for player development?
Tennis is a blueprint for life-it teaches discipline, resilience, timing, and adaptability. That's why we focus on giving every player the right foundation from the very beginning.
As the court gets bigger and the ball moves faster, having strong technique and purposeful movement ensures players don't just keep up-they thrive. Our goal is to help players grow into the game with joy, confidence, and tools that stay with them for life-on and off the court.
How does Court 16 measure progress?
Progress isn't about rushing to the next court or using a faster ball-it's about mastery. Players advance when they demonstrate:
Consistent technique and point of contact
Control, placement, and ability to rally
Application of skills in real match-play situations
We celebrate growth at every level and support players in advancing with intention and readiness, not speed.
What makes Court 16's coaching approach unique?
We combine technical consistency, progressive learning, and creative teaching.
A shared coaching philosophy across all staff
A scaled learning system built around court size and equipment
Tennis Remixed-our signature method that uses metaphors and cross-sport drills (especially during camps) to help players absorb even the most complex skills
We don't just teach strokes-we teach players how to learn, enjoy, and grow in the game at every stage of their journey.
How does Court 16 promote inclusion, empathy, and social-emotional learning?
Inclusion and empathy are core to how we coach and how we show up for one another. Our courts are welcoming to players of all backgrounds and abilities. We teach players not just how to hit the ball-but how to work as a team, show respect, celebrate effort, and handle challenges with resilience.
Our programs naturally build confidence, communication, and emotional awareness. Whether it's through group classes, team-based play, or simple moments of kindness between drills, we believe that tennis is a powerful platform to grow as people-not just players.
